# Corporate Owned Devices

Corporate owned devices are those owned by an organization, and therefore are entitled to complete visibility, control, and remediation across the entire device's OS and all of its apps.

:::(Info) (User Privacy on Device Enrollment and Fully Managed Devices)
While personal use may be allowed based upon an organization's IT and acceptable usage policies, a users privacy **cannot be guaranteed** due to the fact that device-wide management is not inherently "private by design".  Many Jamf products provide mechanisms to conceal a users identity where possible, but device-wide enrollments are fundamentally not privacy focused in nature, favoring IT control instead.

If privacy is a top priority for an organization, even if the asset is corporate owned, it should be enolled using a [Bring Your Own Device (BYOD)](/v1/docs/byod) management strategy.

The Trusted Access solution calls for all general purpose corporate owned Apple devices to be enrolled into a Jamf MDM (Such as Jamf Pro or Now) and for other platforms to use an MDM of choice.
